The Magic Flute Tickets
Overview
Complicite's artistic director Simon McBurney returns to ENO with his spectacular production of The Magic Flute, a darkly funny, dramatic and highly visual interpretation of Wolfgang Mozart’s timeless final opera. With the orchestra on view alongside breathtaking cinematographic projections, this spellbinding and imaginative staging brings Mozart’s captivating rites of passage tale to life.
One of the greatest and most popular operas ever written, The Magic Flute is the perfect introduction to opera for newcomers, offering a mixture of the philosophical, the romantic and the farcical. Exploring the search for true love, truth, enlightenment and wisdom, handsome young Prince Tamino and the cowardly bird-catcher Papageno must overcome a series of trials in order to rescue Pamina, daughter of the manipulative Queen of Night who is being held at the enchanter Sarastro's temple.
This performance is sung in English with surtitles projected above the stage.
