Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animation, Tony Award-winning Shrek the Musical is a fairytale adventure with a side-splitting script, bringing all the beloved characters to life on stage. Back in London for just 6 weeks from July 2024, this spectacular production proves there's more to the story than meets the ears!
In a faraway kingdom, solitude-loving, flatulent ogre Shrek sets off on a life-changing adventure to rescue the beautiful but feisty Princess Fiona in order to reclaim his privacy and the deed to his swamp. Tagging along on his quest is his loyal steed, a wise-cracking donkey who suffers from verbal diarrhoea. Our unlikely hero manages to subdue a fire breathing, love-sick dragon and rescue the temperamental princess from her tower. But as he prepares to deliver the Princess to the villainous (and very short) Lord Farquaad, Shrek begins to realise that true love and real friendship aren’t only found in fairy tales.
Set to a toe tapping soundtrack featuring songs including Big Bright Beautiful World, I Know It's Today, as well as cult Shrek anthem I'm a Believer, this hilarious show is an all singing, all dancing, irresistible mix of magic, adventure and romance.

Access
Wheelchair access is through the doors at the left hand side of the venue. Please ask staff to open the doors for you. The wheelchair ramp is at the rear of the stalls behind the seating block and can accommodate four wheelchair users and four escorts per performance. Guests can also transfer from wheelchairs to an aisle seat in the stalls if preferred for a seated event and if available. The wheelchair can then be stored at the rear of the stalls and returned by an usher.
The venue has a hearing loop system that covers all of the rear stalls plus blocks 8,9 and 10 in the circle. Headsets are available from the Box Office for a refundable deposit of £5.00.
Guide dogs are welcomed and staff are happy to look after them during the performance.
