Overview
After a five year hiatus, the sexiest, sassiest, most sophisticated musical returns to the West End in 2018 starring Blue singer Duncan James as Billy Flynn and X Factor winner Alexandra Burke as Roxie. Murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, violence, adultery, treachery.....so begins the multi-award-winning prohibition-era musical Chicago.
Based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins detailing the true life trials of Beulah Annan and Belva Gaertner in the 1920s, Chicago is the tale of Roxie Hart, a chorus girl who has murdered her lover but manages to get acquitted with the help of slick and manipulative hotshot lawyer Billy Flynn. Despite seething rivalry, she teams up with glamorous double-murderer Velma Kelly to form an unusual nightclub act which they both hope will keep them from death row and from fading into notoriety.
The musical, which has won 6 Tony Awards, 2 Olivier Awards and a Grammy®, spawned the hit 2002 film starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere. Featuring dazzling choreograpy by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse, the production also includes the songs All That Jazz, Razzle Dazzle, Class, Cell Block Tango, Mr. Cellophane and All I Care About.

Access
Wheelchair access to the theatre is via the side entrance on Flitcroft Street, to the left of the box office. Please ask a member of staff to open the door. Each wheelchair user must bring a non disabled companion.
Guide dogs are welcome but are not permitted inside the auditorium. Staff are available to look after dogs in the staff room.
