Overview

Based on Frank Coraci's hit 1998 romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton takes on the lead role in Nick Winston's new production of The Wedding Singer in a strictly limited four week run at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.

Set in 1985, wannabe rock-star Robbie Hart is New Jersey’s favourite suburban wedding singer. But when his own fiancée Linda dumps him at the altar, a despondent and disillusioned Robbie moves from working weddings to bar mitzvahs to avoid the humiliating issue of matrimony and considers giving up on music altogether.

Convinced by his friends to return to work, Robbie befriends Julia Sullivan, a waitress who works at the reception hall where he sings, and who is about to marry Glen Gulia, a cheating, obnoxious, self-obsessed Wall Street bad boy.

Can Robbie step in and stop Julia from heading off down the aisle with Glenn before it's too late?
