Quiz Tickets
Overview
Following a critically acclaimed run at Chichester Festival Theatre, Daniel Evans directs James Graham's new play Quiz as it transfers to the West End for a strictly limited 12 week season at the Noël Coward Theatre.
Based on Bob Woffinden and James Plaskett's book Bad Show, Quiz is a provocative and razor-sharp analysis of the 2003 conviction of Major Charles Ingram, his wife Diana and their associate Tecwen Whittock for cheating during an episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2001.
Ingram became infamous as 'the coughing Major' when he hit the headlines for supposedly cheating his way to winning £1,000,000 on the game show hosted by Chris Tarrant by apparently using tactical coughing in the Elstree studio.
What looks like an open-and-shut case is turned on its head during re-examination and in a final twist, the audience is asked to turn itself into a jury and look anew at its own prejudices.
