Sam Yates directs the UK premiere of critically acclaimed new rock musical Murder Ballad when it opens in the West End for a strictly limited run at the Arts Theatre this October.

Written by award-winning playwright Julia Jordan with music and lyrics by singer-songwriter Juliana Nash, this razor-sharp tale of modern relationships, abandoned dreams and betrayal stars Kerry Ellis, Ramin Karimloo, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt and Norman Bowman.
 
Set in New York City, Murder Ballad is a tale of self-destructive lust and revenge and a torrid love triangle gone wrong. Hard-drinking Sara finds herself torn between bad-boy bartender Tom and her safe, dependable husband Michael, a quiet poetry student at NYU.

Sara appears to have it all but is torn between her uptown future and the downtown past which lingers enticingly and dangerously in front of her. Is the one that got away really worth risking everything for?
