Overview

Happy Days is the story of an eternal optimist facing the harsh realities of life with a smile.

Samuel Beckett's ingenious symbolist play introduces us to the endlessly chirpy Winnie who doesn't let the fact that she is buried up to the neck in soil spoil her endlessly Happy Days.

Armed with a mirror, a toothbrush and a revolver, Winnie gives us an insight into her every thought while her monosyllabic husband Willie reads the paper and crawls around.
