Don’t miss the world premiere of lyricist Tim Rice’s epic new musical From Here To Eternity opening at the Shaftesbury theatre in September starring Darius Campbell, Robert Lonsdale, Ryan Sampson, Siubhan Harrison and Rebecca Thornhill. Based on one of the greatest novels of the twentieth century by James Jones, this gripping tale of illicit love and army life is a breathtaking, romantic and excitingly original new show. The musical is a stage adaptation of the Oscar winning 1953 film starring Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, Montgomery Clift, Frank Sinatra, Ernest Borgnine and Donna Reed.

Set in 1941 on the island of Oahu in Hawaii in the months prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, From Here to Eternity is a story of love, anger, fury and passion all against the backdrop of World War II. The troubled and misunderstood Private Prewitt falls head over heels in love with local escort girl Lorene while platoon officer, Sergeant Warden, embarks on a dangerous affair with his commanding officer’s wife, Karen. On an explosive collision course, the lives of both men are on a path they cannot control, the worlds of the four lovers and the soldiers of G Company are dramatically tested, tensed and finally ripped apart in this dramatic but poignant musical epic that promises to set the London stage alight.

Access
There are spaces for 4 wheelchairs in Boxes A and B which are down 3 steps off a corridor to the left of the box office. You will need help negotiating the steps. Transfer seating is also available in the Royal Circle, the entrance to which is level from the foyer.

An infra-red system with 20 headsets and 15 neckloops is available for the hearing impaired. Headsets and neckloops must be collected from the foyer sweet kiosk.

Guide dogs are allowed inside the auditorium or alternatively theatre staff will look after up to 6 dogs per performance.
