Fiddler on the Roof Tickets
Overview
Direct from a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Trevor Nunn's acclaimed revival of Fiddler on the Roof, one of the best loved stage and screen musicals, transfers to the West End for a limited season starring Andy Nyman. The Playhouse Theatre will be specially transformed into an immersive space for this intimate production.
Based on the stories of Russian author Sholem Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof is set in a small village in Tsarist Russia in 1905 and tells the story of Tevye, a dairyman and old-fashioned father who dreams of seeing each of his five daughters married to good husbands in the traditional Jewish manner. However, revolution is in the air and the young follow their hearts and not the advice of their fathers....
When his daughters refuse the matchmaker's advice and marry for love instead, Tevye struggles to accept that modern life is changing and must choose between their happiness and preserving his beloved traditions.
Packed with Jerome Robbins’ original Tony award-winning choreography, this uplifting and heartfelt tale features Jerry Bock's iconic score with favourite songs including Tradition, Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Sunrise, Sunset and the unforgettable If I Were a Rich Man.
