Akhnaten Tickets
Overview
Akhnaten is the final part of American composer Philip Glass's biographical trilogy of operas in which he examines revolutionary figures from the fields of science, politics and religion. This absorbing work uses texts drawn from ancient hymns, prayers, letters and inscriptions sung in their original Egyptian, Hebrew and Akkadian.
But his new ideas are not popular and his people turn upon their Pharaoh as a traitor. Akhnaten must die but will his new faith live on?
